At the beginning of each year, we slow down together as a church to seek God through fourteen days of prayer and fasting, January 5–18.
These days are not about striving harder or proving something to God. They are about creating intentional space to listen, to depend on Him, and to realign our hearts as we step into a new year.
Prayer and fasting help us pause long enough to remember what matters most. They steady us when life feels noisy, remind us that we are not walking alone, and invite God to shape us in ways that last beyond January.
Whether prayer feels familiar or new, this is an invitation to start where you are and take the next step with us from January 5 through January 18.

What These 14 Days Are About
During this time, we are setting aside time each day to pray, read Scripture, and listen for God’s voice. Some will fast for a full day, some will skip a meal, and others will take smaller steps that fit their season of life.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach here. The goal is not perfection. The goal is presence.
These days are meant to:
Deepen your awareness of God’s nearness
Recenter your heart on His priorities
Build a simple, sustainable rhythm of prayer
Strengthen your dependence on God as you begin the year
We believe God meets us in honest moments, not polished ones. When we slow down, He does the forming.
How We’ll Walk Through This Together
To help guide you through January 5–18, we’ve created a Prayer & Fasting Guide designed to be used each day throughout the fourteen days.
Inside the guide, you’ll find:
A clear explanation of why we pray and why we fast
A simple, Scripture-based framework for how to pray
Guidance for developing a daily prayer rhythm
Practical fasting tips for beginners and seasoned participants
Suggested Psalms and Bible reading resources to anchor your time with God
The guide is meant to support you, not overwhelm you. You can spend five minutes or an hour. You can pray early in the morning or late at night. What matters is showing up and opening yourself to God during these days.
